Adventure to the Prarie
Today we decided to get out of the house and go driving till we found a brown sign worth stopping at. Westward bound, I got to see OKC - not impressed, reminded me a little of Birmingham in size. We passed the Roman Nose State Park : Best park name I've seen yet. Miniature donkeys for sale... put in a pasture with normal sized horses. I figure, hey, at least those horses have better self esteem after having to stand next to those little donkeys. Lets see... then we got off at Rte. 66 at a place just west of the big city... my thought was, I don't get how this street is so famous, it seems a little... ordinary. Then we stopped at the Giant Wind Mills. They are HUGE! We figured it would take about ten people to encircle the base with arms stretched like a giant hug. Hee hee. We took pictures and just kind of stood in awe. On the way back home we stopped to search for a knick knack to document our day at the local "trading post". Though entertaining, no knick knack was found and no small bit of owl found either (a constant look out for all things hoot worthy). So, now we are home. Nice day on the road. We've decided to go to Tenkiller Lake next time and try to create our own story behind its name! Soooo, off to bed I go with an early 4:30 alarm waiting for me on the other side of daylight stupid savings. Night.
